1640. It was narrated from Saḥl bin Sa'd that the Prophet ﷺ said: "In Paradise there is a gate called Rayyân. On the Day of Resurrection the call will go out saying: 'Where are those who used to fast?' Whoever is among those who used to fast will enter it, and whoever enters it will never thirst again." Commentary
Rayyân is a door of Paradise which means 'Full with water'. A fasting person bears the pang of hunger and thirst, and bearing thirst is harder than hunger, therefore, the door appointed for the fasting people is called 'the door full with water,' or the 'Well-Watered Door'.
Along with the performance of obligatory worship, one should also perform voluntary worship proven in the Sunnah, according to one's best capability. Taking care of voluntary actions is a source of entering Paradise.
