English translation

1795. It was narrated from 'Ali bin Abu Tâlib that 'Abbâs asked the Prophet ﷺ about paying his Sadaqah before it is due, and he granted him permission to do that. (Da'if)

Arabic text

1795 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ حُجَيَّةَ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ، «سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي تَعْجِيلِ صَدَقَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَحِلَّ، فَرَخَّصَ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ»

Commentary

Paying Zakât in advance means to pay before the completion of year; the fluctuation of the right amount of Zakât will be sorted out at its due time. Paying Zakât in advance is permissible.
