English translation

191. It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'Allâh will laugh at two persons -- one of them kills the other, and both of them enter Paradise, for the first one fought in the cause of Allâh and was martyred, then his killer repented to Allāh and became Muslim, then he also fought in the cause of Allāh and was martyred.''' (Sahih)

Commentary

Allāh's laughter is an expression of His pleasure. Therefore, pleasure is also an attribute of Allāh. Only Allāh knows what the end of a man would be like. Even the most hardened criminal can be expected to receive Allāh's guidance at some point in life. As such it is not proper to claim, as long as a person lives, that he will not accept guidance, and as such it is not right to stop inviting him to the right path until the last breath of his life.
