192. Sa'eed bin Musayyab narrated that Abu Hurairah used to say: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: Allāh will seize the earth on the Day of Resurrection, and He will roll up the heavens in His Right Hand, then He will say, "I am the Sovereign. Where are the kings of the earth?"'' (Sahih)

Commentary

This confirms the reality of Allāh's Hand. However, it is not allowed for anyone to invent a mental picture for such attributes of Allāh. It is, instead, necessary that we believe in however much we have been told about His attributes, and not commit the mistake of likening the Divine attributes to those of the created things. The sky as it exists now shall cease to exist on the Day of Resurrection.
