Commentary

Getting married or making a marriage contract whilst in the state of Ihrām is not allowed. The person in Ihrām cannot marry himself, neither can he be an attorney for someone's marriage, nor can he act as a guardian for the marriage of his daughter or sister etc. A woman in Ihrām also cannot be married, nor should a proposal be sent to her.
