English translation

2447. It was narrated that ʿAli said: "I used to draw water, one bucket for a date, and I stipulated that they should be good quality, dried dates." (Daʿif)

Arabic text

2447 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: «كُنْتُ أَدْلُو الدَّلْوَ بِتَمْرَةٍ، وَأَشْتَرِطُ أَنَّهَا جَلْدَةٌ»
