Commentary

The relation between the one who frees a slave, and the freed slave, is the base of the rights of inheritance. For example, if there is no heir of the one who manumits the slave, the freed slave will be his heir, because the freed slave is considered a member of the tribe of his master who freed him. The relationship of the right of inheritance cannot be changed by any means. It cannot be sold or given as a gift to anyone.
