Commentary
a. It was the angel who came and informed him to declare the intention of 'Umrah with Hajj.
b. 'Umrah in Hajj means that 'Umrah can be performed during the months of Hajj while Arabs assumed that it is forbidden. The second meaning is that one Iḥrām, one Tawāf and one Sa'y is enough for both Hajj and 'Umrah in Hajj Qirān i.e., if one performs rites of Hajj the acts of 'Umrah automatically will be completed. (Allāh knows best.)
