English translation

3066. It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbâs said: “The Prophet ﷺ did not allow anyone to stay overnight in Makkah apart from 'Abbâs, for the purpose of supplying water to the pilgrims.”(Da'if)

Arabic text

3066 - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «لَمْ يُرَخِّصِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَحَدٍ، يَبِيتُ بِمَكَّةَ، إِلَّا لِلْعَبَّاسِ، مِنْ أَجْلِ السِّقَايَةِ»
