English translation

3134. It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbās said: "Camels became scarce at the time of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, so he commanded them to sacrifice cows." (Da'if)

Arabic text

3134 - حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَاضِرٍ الْأَزْدِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: «قَلَّتِ الْإِبِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَمَرَهُمْ، أَنْ يَنْحَرُوا الْبَقَرَ»
