English translation

3420. It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin." (Sahih)

Arabic text

3420 - حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ الصَّوَّافُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ»
