3627. It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbās said: "The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man who had dyed his hair with henna and said: 'How handsome this is!' Then he passed by another who had dyed his hair with henna and Katam, and said: 'This one is more handsome than that one.' Then he passed by another who had dyed his hair yellow and said: 'This one is more handsome than all of them.'" (Da'if) He (one of the narrators) said: Tāwus used to dye his hair yellow.
3627 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ قَدْ خَضَبَ بِالْحِنَّاءِ فَقَالَ: «مَا أَحْسَنَ هَذَا» ، ثُمَّ مَرَّ بِآخَرَ، قَدْ خَضَبَ بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ فَقَالَ: «هَذَا أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا» ، ثُمَّ مَرَّ بِآخَرَ قَدْ خَضَبَ بِالصُّفْرَةِ فَقَالَ: «هَذَا أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا كُلِّهِ» قَالَ: «وَكَانَ طَاوُسٌ يُصَفِّرُ»
