English translation

3640. It was narrated that Anas bin Mâlik said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ had a ring made for him, and he said: 'I have had a ring made for me and had it engraved, and no one should make a ring with similar engraving.'" (Sahih)

Arabic text

3640 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: اصْطَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا فَقَالَ: «إِنَّا قَدِ اصْطَنَعْنَا خَاتَمًا وَنَقَشْنَا فِيهِ نَقْشًا فَلَا يَنْقُشْ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ»
