English translation

3650. It was narrated from 'Ali bin Abu Tālib that the Prophet ﷺ said: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image.” (Hasan)

Arabic text

3650 - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُجَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ، وَلَا صُورَةٌ»
