English translation

376. It was narrated that ‘Âishah said: “The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ and I would take a bath from a single vessel.” (Sahih)

Arabic text

376 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ»

Commentary

'Taking a bath from a single vessel' means that each one of the couple is taking water from the same vessel and having the bath individually. This is perfectly in order.
