English translation
726. It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbās said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Let the best of you give the call to prayer (Adhân), and let those who are most versed in the Qur'ān lead you in prayer.''" (Da'if)

726 - حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَخُو سُلَيْمٍ الْقَارِئِ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لِيُؤَذِّنْ لَكُمْ خِيَارُكُمْ، وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ قُرَّاؤُكُمْ»
