Commentary

Prohibition on performing prayers in the graveyard is meant to avoid any resemblance of prostrating before the graves. Some people build their mosque close to the grave of a 'holy man' or Prophet under the assumption that praying by the side of the deceased holy man is a virtuous act. All of this is prohibited in Islam.
