827. It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "I have never seen anyone whose prayer more closely resembles that of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ than so-and-so. He used to lengthen the first two Rak'ah of the Zuhr and shorten the last two Rak'ah, and he used to shorten the 'Asr.'" (Sahih)
827 - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي بُكَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَشْبَهَ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِنْ فُلَانٍ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ يُطِيلُ الْأُولَيَيْنِ مِنَ الظُّهْرِ، وَيُخَفِّفُ الْأُخْرَيَيْنِ، وَيُخَفِّفُ الْعَصْرَ "

Making the 'Asr' prayer shorter than the Zuhr is the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. Even in this, the first two Rak'ah should be longer than the last two.
