Commentary

In the previous Ahâdîth we have seen that it is permissible for a person to perform prayer in a situation where a sleeping person is lying in front of him. This Hadîth seems to contradict the ruling of the previous Ahâdîth. The prohibition contained in this Hadîth shall thus be assumed to be in the nature of Makruh Tanzîhi (that which nearly approaches the unlawful without actually being so) which means that it is preferable to avoid praying like this if it is likely to impact the concentration of the worshiper.
