English translation

[111] 19 - (16) It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Islam is built on five (pillars): Singling out Allāh,[1] establishing the Ṣalāt, paying the Zakāt, fasting (during the month of) Ramaḍān and Hajj." A man said: "Hajj and fasting Ramaḍān?" He (Ibn 'Umar) said: "No; fasting Ramaḍān and Hajj. This is how I heard it from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ."
