English translation

[1681] 90 - (724) It was narrated that 'Āishah said: "The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to pray the two Rak'ah of Fajr when he heard the Adhān, and he made them brief."

Arabic text

90 - (724) حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ إِذَا سَمِعَ الْأَذَانَ، وَيُخَفِّفُهُمَا».
