English translation

[1873] 251 - (803) It was narrated that 'Uqbah bin 'Amir said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ came out when we were in As-Suffah and said: 'Which of you would like to go out in the morning every day to Buṭhân or Al-'Aqiq and bring back two large she-camels without that involving any sin or severing of family ties?' We said: 'O Messenger of Allâh, we would like that.' He said: 'For one of you to go to the Masjid in the morning and learn, or recite two verses from the Book of Allâh, is better for him than two she-camels, and three (verses) are better for him than three (she-camels), and four (verses) are better for him than four (she-camels), and so on.'"
