English translation

[1895] 267 - (...) Sâlim bin'Abdullâh bin 'Umar narratedthat his father said: "TheMessenger of Allâh ﷺ said:'There is no envy except in twocases: A man to whom Allâhgives (causes to learn) this Bookand he recites it by night and byday, and a man to whom Allâhgives wealth, and he gives it incharity by night and by day.'"

267 - (815) وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا حَسَدَ إِلَّا عَلَى اثْنَتَيْنِ: رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ هَذَا الْكِتَابَ، فَقَامَ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ، وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ، وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ مَالًا، فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ، وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ "
