[234] 127 - (73) Ibn 'Abbās said: "Rain fell at the time of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and the Prophet ﷺ) said: 'Some of the people have become grateful and some have become disbelievers. They said: "This is the mercy of Allāh," but some said: "The fulfillment of such and such a star." Then these Verses were revealed: "So I swear by the setting of the stars" until he reached: "And instead (of thanking Allāh) for the provision He gives you, you deny (Him by disbelief)!"[1]
127 - (73) وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُمَيْلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: مُطِرَ النَّاسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَصْبَحَ مِنَ النَّاسِ شَاكِرٌ وَمِنْهُمْ كَافِرٌ، قَالُوا: هَذِهِ رَحْمَةُ اللهِ، وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: لَقَدْ صَدَقَ نَوْءُ كَذَا وَكَذَا " قَالَ: فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: {فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُومِ} [الواقعة: 75]، حَتَّى بَلَغَ: {وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ} [الواقعة: 82]
