English translation
[2347] 66 - (1016) It was narrated that 'Adiyy bin Hâtim said: "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'Whoever among you can shield himself from the Fire, even with half a date, let him do so.'"

66 - (1016) حَدَّثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْجُعْفِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْقِلٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَتِرَ مِنَ النَّارِ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ، فَلْيَفْعَلْ»
