English translation
[2453] 145 (...) It was narrated from 'Umârah bin Al-Qa'qâ' with this chain (a similar Hadîth as no. 2452), and he said... and ‘Alqamah bin ‘Ulâthah, and he did not mention ‘Âmir bin Aṭ-Tufail. And he said: “Prominent forehead,” he did not say: “High.” And he added: “‘Umar bin Al-Khaṭṭâb [may Allâh be pleased with him] stood up and said: ‘O Messenger of Allâh, shall I not strike his neck?’ He said: ‘No.’ Then he turned away and Khâlid, the Sword of Allâh, stood up and said: ‘O Messenger of Allâh, shall I not strike his neck?’ He said: ‘No. There will emerge from the progeny of this man people who recite the Book of Allâh fluently.’” And ‘Umârah said: “I think he said: ‘If I live to see them, then I will certainly kill them like the killing of Thamûd.’”
