English translation

[2522] 24 - (...) Jâbir bin 'Abdullâh [may Allâh be pleased with them] said: "The Prophet ﷺ stayed away from his wives for a month, then he came out to us on the morning of the twenty-ninth, and some of the people said to him: 'O Messenger of Allâh, it is the twenty-ninth.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'The month may be twenty nine,' then the Prophet ﷺ brought his hands together three times, twice with all his fingers and the third time with nine fingers.”
