[2572] 61 - (1105) It was narrated that 'Āishah [may Allāh be pleased with her] said: "The Prophet ﷺ forbade them (the Companions or the Muslims) from Wiṣāl out of compassion towards them. They said: 'But you perform Wiṣāl.' He said: 'I am not like you; my Lord feeds me and gives me to drink.'"
61 - (1105) وحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: نَهَاهُمُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْوِصَالِ رَحْمَةً لَهُمْ، فَقَالُوا: إِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ، قَالَ: «إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَهَيْئَتِكُمْ، إِنِّي يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي»
