English translation

[2649] (...) It was narrated from Al-A'mash with this chain (a Ḥadīth similar to no. 2648), and they (the narrators) said: "When Ramaḍān was enjoined, he abandoned it."

(1127) وحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، وَقَالَا: فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ رَمَضَانُ تَرَكَهُ
