English translation

[3133] (...) It was narrated that Al-A'mash said: "I heard Al-Hajjāj say: 'Do not say Sūrat Al-Baqarah...' and he narrated a Hadīth like that of Ibn Mushir (no. 3132).

(1296) وحَدَّثَنِي يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَجَّاجَ، يَقُولُ: لَا تَقُولُوا سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ وَاقْتَصَّا الْحَدِيثَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ مُسْهِرٍ
