English translation

[3169] 339 - (1311) It was narrated that 'Āishah said: "Stopping in Al-Abṭaḥ is not Sunnah, rather the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ stopped there because it was easier for him to depart (for Al-Madīnah) from there."

Arabic text

339 - (1311) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: «نُزُولُ الْأَبْطَحِ لَيْسَ بِسُنَّةٍ، إِنَّمَا نَزَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ أَسْمَحَ لِخُرُوجِهِ إِذَا خَرَجَ»
