[3248] 404 - (...) It was narratedfrom Abû Qaza'ah that while'Abdul-Malik bin Marwân wascircumambulating the Ka'bah, hesaid: "May Ibn Az-Zubair bedoomed! For he told a lie aboutthe Mother of the Believers whenhe said: 'I heard her say: "TheMessenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'O'Aîshah, were it not that yourpeople have only recently leftdisbelief behind, I would havedemolished the House and addedpart of the Hîjr to it, for yourpeople reduced its size when theyrebuilt it.'" Al-Hârith bin 'Abdullâhbin Abî Rabî'ah said: "Do not saythat, O Commander of theBelievers, for I heard the Mother ofthe Believers narrating that." He said: "If I had heard itbefore I demolished it, I wouldhave left it as Ibn Az-Zubair builtit."

404 - (1333) وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَكْرٍ السَّهْمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي قَزَعَةَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ إِذْ قَالَ: قَاتَلَ اللهُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ حَيْثُ يَكْذِبُ عَلَى أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُهَا تَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «يَا عَائِشَةُ لَوْلَا حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ لَنَقَضْتُ الْبَيْتَ حَتَّى أَزِيدَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحِجْرِ، فَإِنَّ قَوْمَكِ قَصَّرُوا فِي الْبِنَاءِ»، فَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ: لَا تَقُلْ هَذَا يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، فَأَنَا سَمِعْتُ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ تُحَدِّثُ هَذَا قَالَ: لَوْ كُنْتُ سَمِعْتُهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَهْدِمَهُ، لَتَرَكْتُهُ عَلَى مَا بَنَى ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ
