English translation

[3454] 49 - (1412) It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not outbid one another, and do not propose marriage when someone else has already proposed."

49 - (1412) وحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ رُمْح، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «لَا يَبِعْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ، وَلَا يَخْطُبْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ بَعْضٍ»
