English translation

[3550] 131 - (...) Abû Sa'eed Al-Khudrî said: "Mention of 'Azl' was made in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ and he said: 'Why do you do that?' They said: 'A man may have a wife who is breastfeeding and he has intercourse with her, but he does not want her to become pregnant. And a man may have a slave woman and he has intercourse with her, but he does not want her to become pregnant.' He said: 'It does not matter if you do not do it, for it is only the Divine Decree (that decides).'" Ibn 'Awn said: "I narrated this to Al-Hasan, and he said: 'By Allâh, it is as if it is a rebuke.'"
