English translation

[4153] 11 - (...) Al-Barâ' bin 'Azib said: "The last Verse to be revealed was the Verse of Kalâlah, and the last Sûrah to be revealed was Barâ'ah (i.e., Sûrat At-Taubah)"

11 - (1618) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ، يَقُولُ: " آخِرُ آيَةٍ أُنْزِلَتْ: آيَةُ الْكَلَالَةِ، وَآخِرُ سُورَةٍ أُنْزِلَتْ: بَرَاءَةُ "
