English translation
[4586] 57 - (1762) It was narrated from 'Abdullāh bin 'Umar that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ divided the spoils of war: two shares for the horseman and one share for the foot soldier.

57 - (1762) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ فُضَيْلُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَ يَحْيَى: أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَسَمَ فِي النَّفَلِ، لِلْفَرَسِ سَهْمَيْنِ، وَلِلرَّجُلِ سَهْمًا»،
