English translation
[4662] 118 - (1800) Anas bin Mâlik said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'Who will find out for us what happened to Abû Jahl?' Ibn Mas'ûd set out and found that he had been struck by the two sons of 'Afrâ' and he was cold (near death). He took hold of his beard and said: 'Are you Abû Jahl?' He said: 'Is there anyone better than a man whom you have killed - or whose people have killed him?'" And Abû Mîjlaz said: "Abû Jahl said: 'Would that someone other than a peasant had killed me.'"
