English translation

[4679] 133 - (1808) It was narrated from Anas bin Mâlik that eighty armed men from Makkah swooped down upon the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ from the mountain of At-Tan'im, seeking to attack the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions. He captured them but spared their lives. Then Allâh revealed (the words): "And He it is Who has withheld their hands from you and your hands from them in the midst of Makkah, after He had made you victors over them."[2]
