English translation

[4792] 57 - (1850) It was narrated that Jundab bin ‘Abdullāh Al-Bajalī said: “The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: ‘Whoever is killed (fighting) for no real cause, calling for tribalism or supporting tribalism, his death is a death of Jāhiliyyah.’”

57 - (1850) حَدَّثَنَا هُرَيْمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، عَنْ جُنْدَبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَجَلِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ قُتِلَ تَحْتَ رَايَةٍ عِمِّيَّةٍ، يَدْعُو عَصَبِيَّةً، أَوْ يَنْصُرُ عَصَبِيَّةً، فَقِتْلَةٌ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ»
