[4811] 71 - (...) It was narrated that Jābir said: “On the day of Al-Ḥudaibiyah we were fourteen hundred. The Prophet ﷺ said to us: ‘Today you are the best of people on earth.’” Jābir said: “If I could see, I would show you the spot where the tree was (under which the Prophet ﷺ took the oath).”
71 - (1856) حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَشْعَثِيُّ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِسَعِيدٍ، قَالَ سَعِيدٌ، وَإِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا، وقَالَ الْآخَرَانِ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ أَلْفًا وَأَرْبَعَ مِائَةٍ، فَقَالَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَنْتُمُ الْيَوْمَ خَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ»، وقَالَ جَابِرٌ: «لَوْ كُنْتُ أُبْصِرُ لَأَرَيْتُكُمْ مَوْضِعَ الشَّجَرَةِ»
