English translation

[5042] 49 - (1950) It was narrated that Abû Az-Zubair said: "I asked Jâbir about mastigure. He said: 'Do not eat it,' and he regarded it as repulsive. He said: 'Umar bin Al-Khaṭṭâb said: 'The Prophet ﷺ did not prohibit it, and Allâh has benefited more than one person by it. It is the food of most shepherds, and if I had some with me I would eat it.'"
