English translation

[5294] 129 - (2031) It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbâs said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'When one of you eats some food, let him not wipe his hand until he has licked it, or had it licked.'"

Arabic text

129 - (2031) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا، وقَالَ الْآخَرُونَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ طَعَامًا، فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَهَا»، أَوْ «يُلْعِقَهَا»
