[5588] 3 - (2133) It was narrated from Sâlim bin Abû Ja'd that Jâbir bin 'Abdullâh said: "A boy was born to a man among us, and he called him Muḥammad. His people said to him: 'We will not let you call him by the name of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ.' He took his son, carrying him on his back, and brought him to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'O Messenger of Allâh, a boy had been born to me and I named him Muḥammad, but my people said to me: "We will not let you call him by the name of the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ." The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'You may call yourselves by my name but do not call yourselves by my Kunyah, for I am Qâsim (distributor), I distribute (Allâh's blessings) among you.'"
