English translation

[5647] 2 - (2161) It was narrated from Ishâq bin 'Abdullâh bin Abî Talhah that his father said: "Abû Talhah said: 'We were sitting in the courtyard, talking, when the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ came and stood with us, and said: "Why are you sitting in the street? Avoid sitting in the streets.” We said: “We do not mean any harm; we are sitting and talking.” He said: “If you insist, then fulfill its rights: lowering the gaze, returning Salâm, and speaking well.”
