English translation
[5688] 30 - (2178) It was narrated from Jâbir that the Prophet ﷺ said: "No one of you should make his brother get up on Friday, then go and sit in his place. Rather he should say: 'Make room for me.'"

30 - (2178) وَحَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يُقِيمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ، ثُمَّ لْيُخَالِفْ إِلَى مَقْعَدِهِ، فَيَقْعُدَ فِيهِ وَلَكِنْ يَقُولُ افْسَحُوا»
