[5893] 7 - (2257) It was narrated that Abû Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: 'If the belly of a man were to be filled with pus that corrodes it, that would be better than being filled with poetry.'" Abû Bakr (Ibn Abî Shaibah) said: "But Hafṣ did not say: 'corrodes it.'"
7 - (2257) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَأَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ جَوْفُ الرَّجُلِ قَيْحًا يَرِيهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْرًا» قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: إِلَّا أَنَّ حَفْصًا لَمْ يَقُلْ «يَرِيهِ»
