English translation

[60] It was narrated that Ḥammâd bin Zaid said: "Ayyûb mentioned a man one day and said: 'He is not careful about what he says.' And he mentioned another, and said: 'He adds to the number.'[1]

Arabic text

حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ: ذَكَرَ أَيُّوبُ رَجُلًا يَوْمًا، فَقَالَ: «لَمْ يَكُنْ بِمُسْتَقِيمِ اللِّسَانِ»، وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ، فَقَالَ: «هُوَ يَزِيدُ فِي الرَّقْمِ»
