[6212] 28 - (2403) It was narrated that Abû Mûsâ Al-Ash'arî said: While the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ was in one of the gardens of Al-Madînah, driving a stick into the ground, a man asked for the gate to be opened. He said: "Open up, and give him the glad tidings of Paradise." It was Abû Bakr, so I opened (the gate) and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. Then another man asked for the gate to be opened, and he said: "Open up, and give him the glad tidings of Paradise." I went and saw that it was 'Umar, so I opened (the gate) and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. Then another man asked for the gate to be opened. The Prophet ﷺ sat up and said: "Open up, and give him the glad tidings of Paradise because of some turmoil that he will have to face.” I went and saw that it was ‘Uthmân bin ‘Affân. I opened (the gate) and gave him the glad tidings of Paradise. I said what he had said and he said: O Allâh, grant patience, and Allâh is the One Whose help we seek.
