English translation

[6353] 128 - (2470) It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ picked up a sword on the Day of Uḥud and said: "Who will take this from me?" They stretched out their hands, each man among them saying: "I will!" He said: "Who will take it and give it its due?" The people withdrew their hands, but Simâk bin Kharashah Abû Dujânah said: "I will take it and give it its due." He said: And he took it and split open the heads of the idolaters with it.
