English translation

[7465] 39 - (...) It was narrated from Ibn Shihâb, when he was speaking of Al-Hijr, the habitation of the Thamûd: “Sâlim bin ‘Abdullâh said that ‘Abdullâh bin ‘Umar said: ‘We passed by Al-Hijr with the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said to us: “Do not enter the dwellings of those who wronged themselves unless you are weeping, lest there befall you something like that which befall them.” Then he urged his mount to move on quickly until he left the place behind.”
